To our incredible Southern States community,
It is with tremendous gratitude for the Reynolds family and what they have built at Southern States Soccer, and with an eye toward the future, that I announce I will be taking over all operations of the club.
This club has been built on a foundation of high standards, starting with the coaching, the facilities, and the development of players both past and present. We will be back there! We will go further than before.
For those of you I have not met yet, I am Alex Mallion. Originally from Manchester, England, where I played at a professional club as an apprentice and started my coaching journey. I moved to Hattiesburg in 2009 to play soccer at William Carey University. West Hattiesburg is now home, where I live with my incredible wife and three amazing boys who all play inside the club. I am a teacher and soon to be athletic director of Benedict Day School.
During this transition, we will be listening. We want to hear from all of you so that we can continue to create the best soccer program in the area. We have so many big plans, the future of the club is very bright. We are extremely thankful to have y'all along on the journey with us. Let’s continue to push the boundaries of what youth soccer can look like not only in our local community but the surrounding areas.
Thank you,
